Jason Shoemaker
Jason W. Shoemaker is an expert with a wealth of knowledge and experience in criminal defense work. In addition, Mr. Shoemaker has a longstanding commitment to post-conviction and appellate work for individuals who were unsuccessful at the trial stage of their proceedings. He has earned a reputation throughout Maryland for being an energetic and aggressive advocate for his clients. Mr. Shoemaker researches every aspect of a case and he will use any and all means available through the criminal justice system to ensure his client the most favorable result possible. For the past several years, Mr. Shoemaker has successfully run a small practice in the metropolitan area. With the addition of former prosecutor Jennifer Connor, Shoemaker & Connor, LLC was formed to provide more personal and aggressive representation to clients. Mr. Shoemaker anticipates continued success throughout Maryland and the District of Columbia.

Jason W. Shoemaker is also an established consultant in the areas of political campaigns and public relations. He has participated in every level of political campaigns in Maryland for more than ten (10) years. Most recently, Mr. Shoemaker acted as Campaign Manager for the 2006 Maryland Attorney General's election. In that capacity, he also litigated a high-profile constitutional challenge to the eligibility of one candidate for that office. See Liddy v. Lamone, et al., 398 Md. 233 (2007). That case, which involved a rare constitutional issue of first impression, reached the highest court in Maryland less than one (1) month after trial. Today, Mr. Shoemaker is a consultant on a variety of political campaigns, including a candidate who is seeking election to the United States House of Representatives for the 3rd District of Tennessee.

Finally, Jason W. Shoemaker is an experienced advisor in the area of business law in the State of Maryland. He primarily works with start-up and small businesses, focusing on choosing the right business entity, forming the business, initializing public relations and future development. Mr. Shoemaker has helped form and advise more than twenty-five (25) Maryland businesses. As a result, he has developed a thriving and experienced civil litigation practice in the court systems of Montgomery County, Frederick County, Howard County, Prince George's County, and Anne Arundel County.

Jason W. Shoemaker is admitted to practice in Maryland and the District of Columbia. He is also licensed to practice in the United States District Court for the District of Maryland and the United States Court of Appeals for the Fourth Circuit. He received his law degree from the Wake Forest University School of Law located in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. Prior to that, Mr. Shoemaker received a Bachelor's Degree in General Business from Loyola College in Baltimore, Maryland.

Prior to starting Shoemaker & Connor, LLC, Mr. Shoemaker gained extensive civil and criminal litigation experience at mid-sized firms located in Prince George's County, Maryland, Montgomery County, Maryland, and Frederick County, Maryland. He has acted in a management capacity since founding his own practice in 2005.
